On the faraway isle of Martiki, the pineapple and the lotus flower farmers were in the midst of a centuries-old squabble until a tempest blew the HENDRICK’S zepplin off-course and onto the island in 1867. After some time the parties struck a truce that is still celebrated every April 26th with the Pineapple Martiki, a cocktail honoring the atoll's indigenous crops. Lotus blossoms (in HENDRICK’S fragrant, alluringly bitter ORBIUM) and pineapple liqueur harmonize with blanc vermouth, which echoes the ORBIUM's wormwood notes, and lime bitters. It’s a tropical elixir, one as intriguingly odd as HENDRICK’S ORBIUM itself.
